FAO Hungarian Government Scholarship 2026 for International Students:
Applications are now open to apply for the FAO Hungarian Government Scholarship 2026 in Hungary. International students who wish to study free of cost in Hungary are strongly encouraged to apply for this fully funded scholarship.
This scholarship is offered by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for Master’s degree programs in Hungary. The scholarship covers all major expenses, and all academic programs will be taught entirely in English.

Applicants for the Hunarian Government Scholarship will be assessed based on the following conditions:

Selection Process:
The selection process for the Hungarian Government Scholarship (for studies starting in September 2026) consists of two main phases:
Phase 1:
FAO will conduct an initial screening of applications and forward eligible dossiers to the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary, which will then send them to the selected universities.
Only complete applications will be considered. Incomplete files or applications without the applicant’s name will be automatically rejected.
Phase 2:
Shortlisted candidates may be required to appear in a written or oral English proficiency test as part of the university admission process.
Final selection will be conducted solely by the universities, without FAO’s involvement. Successful applicants will be informed by both the universities and the Ministry.

How to Apply for FAO Hungarian Government Scholarship?
Interested candidates must prepare a complete application dossier and submit it via E-mail to:

The dossier must include:
- Fully completed application form
- Updated curriculum vitae (CV)
- Copy of high school/college diploma and academic transcripts or diploma supplement
- Proof of English language proficiency
- Copy of passport pages showing passport number and expiry date
- Letter of recommendation
- Statement of motivation
- Medical health certificate issued by a registered doctor
- Certificate of good conduct issued by the local police authority
