Applications are now open for the McCain Global Leaders Program (MGLP) 2026, a fully funded international leadership program designed for emerging and established leaders from around the world. The program runs for 12 months and combines online leadership training with 25 days of fully funded international travel across three countries, including Greece and Vietnam.
Only 25 participants will be selected globally. There is no application fee, and all major expenses are covered, including travel, accommodation, visas, and living costs. The program focuses on leadership, democracy, freedom, and human rights through a regional and global lens.
Program Overview
The McCain Global Leaders Program 2026 will begin in June 2026 and conclude in May 2027. Throughout the year, participants will take part in virtual workshops, leadership discussions, and policy-focused learning experiences.
In addition to online sessions, participants will attend three in-person international programs, totaling 25 days of travel and engagement.

The program includes travel to three countries, with confirmed locations including Athens, Greece, and Vietnam. Each location offers a unique regional perspective on leadership, governance, and democratic development.
Financial Coverage
The McCain Global Leaders Program is fully funded. Selected participants will receive:
- A stipend to cover living expenses
- Economy-class international airfare
- Hotel accommodation during program travel
- Visa support and related costs
Participants are not required to pay any participation or application fees.

In-Person Program Structure
The in-person component of the program includes three major experiences:
- Fall 2026 – Athens, Greece: A 10-day opening program introducing leadership concepts, global challenges, and cohort collaboration
- Winter 2026/27 – Changemaker Tour: A 5-day regional study tour hosted in each participant’s region
- Spring 2027 – Vietnam: A 7-day Legacy Experience focused on impact, leadership reflection, and long-term change
Eligibility Criteria
The McCain Global Leaders Program is open to applicants from all countries and nationalities.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Be a mid-career to senior-level professional
- Have at least 5 years of professional experience
- Demonstrate leadership potential and commitment to positive social or policy change
There are no restrictions related to age, academic degree, field of study, or professional sector.
